POWER FENG SHUI FOR SUCCESS

Key principles in the Chinese philosophy of Feng Shui have been used for over 6,000 years to balance and harmonize the flow of energy surrounding individuals, their homes and their workplaces.
Chinese honor the flow of that energy or Cosmic Breath of God called the Ch'i by using color to stimulate growth and placing objects in key positions to add power and strength to that specific area.
They believe that by balancing Chi fresh signals are released attracting the best possible good fortune from the Universe to improve their life's path and destiny, changing their luck forever.

Relationships and money energy changes occur, as well as a feeling of individual well-being for those that live or work within a properly Feng Shuied environment.

Feng Shui is the perfect complement to enhance your office or home for the very best success possible now and for the future. Pyramid Feng Shui addresses the needs of the individual(s) first and how they relate to their home or workplace, combining aesthetics, comfort and function to allow all the inhabitants to thrive within that space as they experience it. Pyramid Feng Shui is a tool to empower them to their highest level of potential, both personally and professionally. Feng Shui is the language through which we can insure health, happiness and empowerment.

Marriage, family and children; knowledge, career, wealth and fame; and travel and helpful people affecting the individual's life are all areas where changes occur dramatically. Feng Shui acts as a key unlocking doors that seemingly are blocked to our happiness and helping us achieve our goals, hopes and dreams.

Chi is also life's breath within each of us, the eternal spirit or soul, the psyche, the sum and substance of our very being.

Logically, anything that is part of our environment would have an influence upon our spirit.

The spirit is the driving force within each life. Honoring that spirit in ways that bring peace and harmony within and into our surrounding space makes good sense.

In recent years Feng Shui has become popular in the West and experts are called in to balance not only existing spaces, but future ones as well. Donald Trump is widely known to seek this wisdom before he builds a hotel or casino to achieve the best possible draw of Chi energy for his site's future business.

Many Fortune 500 companies and international money institutes (i.e.: Chase Asia, Citibank, Paine Webber), The American and the Asian Wall Street Journals consult Feng Shui practitioners to align their business Chi for the most prosperous opportunities.

Although Feng Shui is not a religion, spiritual blessings and prayers are offered to cleanse sacred space allowing success to intensify in all areas.

Alexandra Shaw has been studying the practice of Feng Shui for over eight years and her clients receive very positive results using the art of Feng Shui placement.

If you would like to change your life in ways you can't possibly imagine, that will positively influence your destiny, call today and make an appointment. It is my intention to be the vehicle of change to help you achieve all you wish for yourself, your loved ones and your future.

Find your lucky Kua number

Knowing your Kua number is one of the most important aspects in helping you
identify your best colors and directions. The directions and colors are different for
each person. There are four good locations and four bad locations for each person.
Once you know your Kua number everything else falls into place. Your Kua number
is part of the PaKua.
A PaKua is the compass instrument used since the ancient times to locate the
placement of things for health, harmony, and wealth. It is an eight-sided octagon
listing the eight trigrams from the I Ching and numbers from the magic square.

The I Ching is the most ancient book known to man. It is very much a part of
everything that is in the universe. It is the key to understanding the world and
everything in it. The I Ching has been translated into many languages and with the
passing of time and the different languages some of the true meaning has been lost.
Nevertheless it has survived. Later after you learn everything contained in this little
book you can start learning more about the I Ching. The correct pronunciation
is E Ching. I have written much about the I Ching in my book, “Change Your Life
With Feng Shui.”

The magic square is part of a mathematical formula developed to help us understand
the universe and the forces that affect one’s destiny. The magic square is said
to have first appeared about 4,000 years ago. It was seen as dots on the back of a
turtle as it emerged from the River Lo, and thus signifies the importance of turtle
energy.
The magic square is a grid consisting of nine numbers arranged so that each side
adds up to fifteen regardless of whether horizontal, vertical or diagonal rows are
used. The way the numbers are arranged in this square holds the key to your best
environments.

Locations are lucky or unlucky according to your special Kua number. There are
actually nine numbers in the eight-sided octagon, but since number five is the center,
men and women with that number are assigned a different number because of
five does not have a direction. Because five is an earth element and so are number
two and eight. The Eight Kua number is assigned to women who are fives and
men are assigned the Kua number two who are fives. The chart in the back of the
book shows you clearly which category Kua numbers you belong in.

This chart contains your Kua number. (If you were born early in the year, please
note that you may have to adjust your year of birth to determine your Kua number,
as your birth date may fall before Chinese New Year. Chinese New Year
begins at different times each year, always after the first New Moon in Aquarius
somewhere between January 21st and Feb. 19th).
As you get further into Feng Shui you will need to know which two groups you
belong in, West or East groups. When you begin to decorate your home with your
best colors and good directions you need this information. Listed below are the
two groups with their different directions, EAST or WEST.
The EAST group includes these Kua numbers:
3 East
4 Southeast
1 North
9 South
WEST group consists of these Kua numbers:
2 Southwest
6 Northwest
7 West
8 Northeast*

There are also five elements to consider: Metal, Wood, Fire Earth and Water. Each
Kua number and direction also has an element. You will also find your element
listed in the chart in the back of the book. It is a lot to remember at one time, but
try to remember your Kua number and keep track as you read this book, because
the information herein is specific to your Kua number, direction, group and element!

Activate your Wealth Corner - Southeast

The wealth or money corner is the Southeast section of a room or house. You must
also activate the North section, as this represents the career section that brings in
money.

You can place a small red envelope with a few coins of money in the southeast section. Crystals cannot be placed in this section unless it is citrine. Crystals are
unlucky in the Southeast except for citrine. Citrine will enhance your money energy.
As this section represents the wood element, thriving green plants placed here will also increase your opportunities for increasing your income. Using the North element of water in your Southeast section in the form of goldfish tanks, or small water fountains will also bring luck with finances.

There are different formulas and methods for better living and working conditions.
Irrespective of the methods used, all symbols bring the same results.

The southeast section is the most important to activate when you want to improve
your financial situation. The wood element is at home in this area, so bring in a
lush green plant. Make sure this area is filled with a bright light.
In my home, I have placed in this area a small Wells Fargo Stagecoach bank that
someone gave me as a gift. The bank is full of coins. Since water is beneficial to
the wood element, a small fountain or fish tank placed here will bring more
money.

Metal should never be placed in this area except for a few coins in a red envelope.

This ancient wisdom is being used silently and strategically in businesses throughout the world. For centuries it has been used in China, the largest living culture on the planet. In Hong Kong, a business does not relocate without a Feng Shui Master. Donald Trump outwardly reports its critical influence in his recent success. Retail chains throughout the country are creating models to ensure success in every location. Why, it works!

This invisible advantage is the flow of energy in any environment. The basic premise of Feng Shui is quite simple. Everything has energy, or Chi. Chi is a combination of vibration, texture, color, symbolism, placement, function, use, abuse, lighting, fields of electromagnetic influence, odor, individual and cultural meaning. All of these things make up how it feels subconsciously and consciously. An obvious example is when you walk into a room and it is completely cluttered and smells a little stale. You may just want to run out the door. If you had an employee working there, it will affect his/her health, productivity and state of mind. If there is no color in a space; motivation, production and morale are affected. Too much color or the improper use of color can cause conflict and several different types of challenges.

Desk position is important. The type of desk, quality and size factor in the Feng Shui. In businesses, color choices, strategic placement of plants and water, as well as building shape are some of the factors that Feng Shui considers. Choice of artwork and placement of artwork contribute to harmony and productivity in the office. Placement of offices contributes to the flow and should honor of chain of command. I have seen many businesses give much energetic power to employees at the lower end of the organizational chart. There is a fundamental difference between empowerment and giving away the power.

Entrance ways are key areas that usually need a Feng Shui assessment. Quite literally, it is how the world meets your organization. For that reason it is very important. It is important even if you do not have foot traffic from the general public. In addition, entranceways are the symbolic representation of how opportunities come to your business. Is it a smooth flow? Or is it an utter challenge to get to your front door? A classical example is your Feng Shui reaction when you first enter a doctor or dentist's office. Most of us do not look forward to this experience with joy or enthusiasm; there is a sense of pain, anxiety (or terror) or simple discomfort. (Doctor's and Dentist's are not alone, think of how you feel when you have an appointment with your attorney, financial planner, or accountant).

If you enter a location where the décor is not designed to make you feel welcome, such as a blank wall at first sight, or a wall of pamphlets, or the odor is clinical or stale, or it is a tight dark entry… etc. All of these descriptions will cause your respiration rate to ever so slightly increase, therefore increasing your overall discomfort! Excellent Feng Shui choices in an entry are: a beautiful piece of art work, or lush plants - live or very good silk, aquariums, water fountains, a clean subtle fragrance of pure essential oils chosen exclusively for that businesses' needs and much more. It will actually lower the respiration rate and cause a positive first impression. This creates a warm welcoming feeling that creates an excellent message of care and consideration to your customers, clients and employees. These choices made with an expert eye can give the corporation an invisible advantage over its competition.

The secret is, understanding Feng Shui correctly. It can't be copied by a competitor since it is designed for your organization, your building type, your location geographically in your town, your owner(s) or board of directors, and various other parameters that are unique to your company. It is the invisible advantage. The chi that flows through your present location can be working for you or against you. Feng Shui increases productivity, market share, health of the organization as a whole, health of individuals, enhances reputation, secures and respects the power in the chain of command, protects from takeovers, and helps you seize opportunities that may be unseen at the moment. When business property locations never seem to quite make it, (i.e. the restaurant site that constantly changes and no one is successful) Feng Shui can correct the imbalance of this energy and make it a viable location. The process to make that correction is quite involved and is very powerful.

Feng Shui is being used in homes and businesses around the world to simply improve quality of life and work. Minor adjustments are usually needed to make powerful and profound changes. It is not the use of major remodeling. All of your environments are there to serve, nourish and support you. Get the most out of your space with Feng Shui. ©

Feng Shui for Better Kitchens

The kitchen area exemplifies the heart of a family’s social standing. This is the place for the family to gather during festive periods to produce flavourful dishes that symbolize the family’s unique culture. Today, the kitchen has evolved from its basic designation as a place for food preparation to a symbolic showpiece of one’s modern home. Incorporating colours, materials and design, the kitchen immediately portrays a family’s social stature and values.

The design of the kitchen is a showcase of personal taste and style. Every step in the design and building of a kitchen, from selection of cookers, hobs and hoods to the doors and door hinges as well as colours, tones and finishes are usually expected to capture the success and pride of one’s stature and livelihood. Sometimes the quality of food can even be secondary to aesthetics.

It is important to understand the impact the location of the kitchen has on the overall effect on the home. The first rule one should never break at all costs is to avoid putting the kitchen in the Northwest. The Northwest symbolizes the patriarch, father or head of the household. The Northwest is also ruled by the element of Metal, so when you introduce a kitchen (which represents Fire) into the Northwest, you effectively destroy the luck of the sector and thus of the father.

In kitchen design, it is a good idea to create a flow of workspace between the two functions: cooking and preparation. This is where the concept of the dry and wet kitchen comes into play. Typically, the wet or ‘outdoor’ kitchen is where cooking and cleaning is done. it symbolizes the element of Fire. The dry kitchen serves as the preparation zone or display area. In the concept kitchen illustrated here, we separate the two functional areas through a separation screen, which allows the two areas to operate independently and also maintain overall spatial integrity. This creates a sense of space and abundance.

The location of the three key equipment items - stove, fridge and sink - should be designed to not pose a conflict to one another. In the case of the wet kitchen, the stove and sink are placed in a way so they are not in a direct line with one another. Similarly, the fridge is located inside its own compartment to avoid a direct line with the stove.

To integrate the wet and dry kitchens, a preparation stove in the dry kitchen is in line with the fridge from the wet kitchen. Here, a separation screen such as a sheet of frosted or decorative glass panel can be used to block direct view yet maintain translucency. This is meant to give a feeling of space.

The materials you select can have a positive or adverse effect on the feng shui of your kitchen. To understand how materials affect the feng shui of your kitchen, look first at Flying Star combinations, then at the element properties of the different compass sectors. For instance in this kitchen concept design, both kitchens are located in the East and Southeast corners of the house.

The wet kitchen is in the Southeast, occupied by the 2water and 5mountain flying star combination. The wet kitchen represents the element of fire because cooking takes place here; so fire placed here does not only strengthen the 5 and 2 earth stars that represents misfortune luck, but the fire also weaken the Southeast wood sector itself (8 Mansions). In this situation, we would need to control the fire energy and balance the elements. It is necessary to weaken the flying star combination.

This can be done by introducing the metal element into the kitchen design and its finishes. Metal element is represented by the colors white and grey, or by using brushed stainless steel finishes to equipment and furniture, the metal energy will help control the 5, 2 earth flying stars. Introduce the element of water through the colors black, through the use of black tiles or black worktop tables for symbolic water energy. This controls the fire element of the stove, and simultaneously strengthens the wood element of the Southeast corner.

The dry kitchen is located in the East corner with the 6,1 stars present. The dry kitchen is used as a preparation and communal gathering area, and here suitable colours and materials can produce a softer, more controlled environment. Use of water element features such as a black tabletop (again the same material carried through from the wet kitchen) can enhance the East wood corner thereby simulating growth luck, while also activating the #1 water star which brings wealth luck.

Alternate Kitchen Colour Combinations

Here note that Red and Earth tones have been used to enhance fire (in the South) or earth (in the Southwest and Northeast) sectors. Fire energy can also be used to control the 3,4 and 4,3 flying star combinations. The idea then is to subdue the troublesome 3 with fire energy.

In this example: Earth based colours such as browns and beige mixed with a selection of earth tone marble tabletops can help enhance the earth energy needed to activate kitchens that are located in Southwest and Northeast corners. Strong colour concepts must be balanced with neutral tones such as a white-based floor to avoid overwhelming the whole space. This selection of colours are beneficial for sectors that require earth and metal energy.

In designing your kitchen it is extremely beneficial to acknowledge two key feng shui factors. Firstly, the layout must not create any conflicts between the three key elements (fridge, sink and stove) and secondly, the colours and materials you choose should in some way benefit the luck of the compass sector where the kitchen resides.
